Bakura feels like scum, undeserving of Marik’s love, that’s ruined Marik. He feels it’s his fault if Marik can’t do “normal” things. (For instance, Marik often has to stay in for days because he can’t leave Bakura alone.)
When these feeling bubble up, particularly strong, there is no reasoning with him.

Since Bakura is with Marik through Ryou’s body, he is incredibly insecure about who Marik is attracted to physically. He knows Marik would be better off with Ryou and that Marik obviously is attracted to Ryou’s body. His greatest fear is that Marik is using him to get to Ryou (and he is perfectly aware that that doesn’t make any sense.)
